Hobbies include playing the guitar, photography, watching NBA basketball, cheering for the Yankees, going to the beach and, of course, doing Taekwondo...he is a 4th degree black belt...began Taekwondo at age 9, training under Master Chung Sik Choi in Binghamton, N.Y....his brother, Ibrahim Chishti, is also a 4th degree black belt and USAT national-level referee...favorite foods are Italian, Indian, Greek, Turkish, Afghan and Moroccan...eats yogurt and a banana before a competition...favorite athletes are Michael Jordan and Roger Federer...listens to everything from Jimi Hendrix to Sigur Ros...in addition to competing, Muhammad is also a USAT certified national-level referee and is a regular referee at USAT state and national championships.
Did You Know?: Muhammad finished high school two years early...he started an Internet development company together with his brother when he was 14...he is co-creator of the world's first Taekwondo video game (www.tkdgame.com) which he was the motion capture model for...he is also the Taekwondo play-by-play announcer for IBN Sports Network.
