U.S. Open Update

Olympic and world champions are set to showcase their skills at the 2010 U.S. Open Taekwondo Championships in Las Vegas, Nevada, Feb. 10-14. USA Taekwondo and World Taekwondo Federation ranking points are at stake at this year's U.S. Open. The event is rated G-2 by the WTF, making it one of the highest-rated international open events in the world.
"Test your mettle against the world's elite fighters and watch top-level competition as the best of the taekwondo will be on display in America's Playground...Las Vegas," said USA Taekwondo CEO David Askinas.
UPDATES:
- Due to the tremendous interest and demand, USA Taekwondo is re-opening registration until Friday, Jan. 29 at 5pm Mountain Time. Register at http://usa-taekwondo.us/events/2367.
- The Tropicana Hotel and USA Taekwondo have partnered to lower the weekday room rate to $49.
- National Teams from the Dominican Republic and Chinese Taipei have pushed the total number of national teams to 14! The Dominican Republic team will feature 2008 Olympic silver medalist (under 58kg) Yulis Gabriel Mercedes.
