U-24 Team Wins Four Medals at Spanish Open

The U-24 National Team came away with four medals on Saturday at the 2010 Spanish Open in Alicante, Spain.

Winning gold medals were men's heavyweight Stephen Lambdin (Colleyville, Texas) and men's featherweight Terrence Jennings (Alexandria, Va.), while women's welterweight Paige McPherson (Miami, Fla.) and men's middleweight Salar Faiazi (Oklahoma City, Okla.) took silver medals in their respective divisions.

Three other U.S. fighters who are not members of the U-24 National Team won bronze medals at the event: Danielle Holmquist (Coral Springs, Fla.) in women's featherweight, Kayla Caracciolo-Clayton (Orlando, Fla.) in women's welterweight, and Dalia Avivi (Miami, Fla.) in women's middleweight.

The 15-member U-24 squad was led by National Team coaches Juan Moreno, Jean Lopez, Jason Poos and Robert Fausett.
